A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jimmie began performing with local musicians and recording artists on Bourbon Street in the 1960s.

Following classical studies at the Houston Conservatory of Music,  he toured from California to Florida with show bands and appeared in concert at The Hollywood Palladium with the rock band “Bluesberry Jam.”

After held over engagements at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas in the 1970s and a highly successful appearance as an actor in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” he traveled the southeast states with country and rock bands. 

In 1983 he and his wife and their two children built a home in Roanoke, Virginia, and Jimmie started a career in the hotel/ resort industry and began writing and  recording his own music.
